Jerusha was a teacher in the 1870 census enumeration, married 18 June 1871 (Methodist Church Record) Moses Curtis Armstrong. Moses had enlisted 2 July 1857 at Buffalo, New York, in the United States Army for five years, carpenter, hazel eyes, dark brown hair, dark complexion, five feet six inches. Enumerated in Ruby Valley, St Mary's County, Utah Territory in 1860, soldier. He served until 2 July 1862 with the rank of sergeant. Moses enlisted 21 Aug 1862 during the Civil War, served in Company K, 141st New York Infantry. Members of Methodist Church at Judson Hill, Wells township, Bradford County, Pennsylvania, removed by letter 22 December 1872. In the 1874 Elmira City, New York directory, carpenter, house at South Main and corner of Jefferson. In the 1876 Elmira City directory, Moses was a carpenter with a residence at 460 South Main Street. Jerusha died there 3 October 1876 aged 30 years 5 months 5 days buried Wells township, Bradford County, Pennsylvania (Elmira City death record). Moses and two daughters were enumerated with Jerusha's mother Miranda in 1880 in Wells township. Helen and Eva last appear on the July 1881 school report for Judson Hill. They removed to Eastchester, Westchester County, New York. Moses was enumerated in Key West, Florida in 1910. Moses died 25 Jan 1917 Mount Vernon, New York at the home of his daughter Helen, buried Beechwood Cemetery, New Rochelle, Westchester County, New York.

1. Helen Armstrong b. 26 Apr 1872 Wells township, Bradford County, Pennsylvania, married 29 April 1890 at Eastchester, Westchester County, New York, Nicholas C. Hansen (2)John P. Hansen.
2. Eva Armstrong b. c. 1874.

DIED. ARMSTRONG - This morning, Oct 3d at 5 o'clock, Jersuah A., wife of Moses C. Armstrong, aged 30 years. Funeral is tomorrow, at Wells, Pa., at 12 o'clock (Elmira Daily Advertiser, Elmira, New York, October 4, 1876).
