MRS. MARY A. BOODY

Mary A. Tillotson was born in Reading, Hillsdale Co., Michigan, on October 13, 1861, and departed this life on May 24, 1938. She was united in marriage to George Boody in May 1878, who preceded her in death in the spring of 1915.

To this union were horn five children: Albert Ray, who passed away in early Infancy, Mrs. Ad. Oliver, Ward Boody and Mrs. Roy Feighner, all of Clare, and Herbert Boody, of Detroit. She has one sister living in Gibsonburg, Ohio, who eagerly, looked forward to a visit from her usually every year, also four grandchildren, several cousins, nieces and nephews, who remain to mourn her departure.

Mrs. Boody had given her heart and life in early womanhood to her Savior, whom she continued to love and serve throughout her whole life, so that when the summons came to go, she was ready to meet Him in peace.

She was a loving mother, giving herself freely in service to her children. She never thought of herself or own comforts while doing, thinking and planning for them. Her life was one round of self-sacrifice never contented unless she was doing something to help, comfort or alleviate the sufferings of others.

No only will she be missed in the home by her children and loved ones, but the different communities where she lived.

Funeral service were held from the Church of God last Friday afternoon. Rev. Egart, of Mt. Pleasant, and H. L. Cleveland, of this city, officiating and Interment made in Cherry Grove cemetery. (The Clare Sentinel, p. 12 - Clare, MI - 3 June 1938)
