Celia hunted Ginseng most of her life, she along with most of the family used it to make medicine & tea. Family lore states she was in the woods hunting for 'sang' and was attacked by a bear, as she tried to climb a small tree, the bear followed. She had to turn and fight the bear only having the Ginseng hoe to defend herself, she killed the bear with that little hoe. That hoe has been passed down generation to generation for almost 200 years.
