Mrs. Barker Dead at 60
Mrs. Alice Boon Barker, widow of Robert M. Barker, died yesterday afternoon at her home, Oak Grove, in Fayetteville. Her husband, brother of Frederick W. Barker of Syracuse, died about seven years ago. They had lived in Oak Grove many years.
Mrs. Barker was born in Syracuse, Aug. 8, 1882, a daughter of William and Anna J. Boon. She was a life member of the Social Art Club and corresponding secretary of Harmony Circle. She was greatly interested in music and was a leader in social life.
Mrs. Barker is survived by two nephews, Harold B. Phillips of Syracuse and Fayetteville, and Louis B. Phillips of New York City. She leaves also a cousin, Mrs. Daisy Balfry Shea of Syracuse, and her brother-in-law, Frederick W. Barker.
The funeral will be at 3 P. M. Monday in the family home, Oak Grove, the Rev. Arthur B. Merriman of the Church of the Savior, officiating. Burial will be in Oakwood Cemetery.
