Gloria Boozer Bennett, 59, widow of of Thomas W. Bennett, died Monday November 13, 2006 at Palmetto Baptist Medical Center.
She was born on Nov. 9, 1947 in Newberry, a daughter of Doris Cook Boozer and the late E. LeRoy Boozer. She was a retired employee of the S.C. Employment Security Commission. She was a member of Bachman Chapel Lutheran Church and the Mid Carolina Country Club. Her hobby was her gardening.
Mrs. Bennett is survived by her mother of Prosperity; her son, Thomas Christian "Chris" Bennett of Columbia; her companion, Larry Thomas of Prosperity; a sister and brother-in-law, Debra and Wayne Morris of Prosperity; and two brothers and sisters-in-law, Stanley and Cheryl Boozer of Garden City and James "Jimmy" E. and Margaret Boozer of Prosperity;
Funeral services were held 11:00 A. M. Friday at Bachman Chapel Lutheran Church in Prosperity, SC by the Rev. Floyd Sides. Interment was in the church cemetery. Visitation was from 5:30 to 7:00 P. M Thursday at the funeral home. The family was at the residence of her sister, Debra Morris, 265 Darren Boozer Rd, Prosperity,SC.
