Chapin - Funeral services for Gloria Boozer Baker, 59, will be held 2 p.m. Monday, February 28, 2011, at Riverland Hills Baptist Church with burial in Woodridge Memorial Park. Visitation is 6-8 p.m. Sunday at Dunbar Funeral Home, Dutch Fork Chapel. Mrs. Baker died February 26, 2011. Born March 29, 1951, in Columbia, she was a daughter of Agnes Koon Boozer and the late Stanford Wyman Boozer. She worked at Boozer Shopping Center in the family business and was a member of Riverland Hills Baptist Church. She enjoyed traveling, gardening, going to auction and estate sales and spending time with her grandchildren. Surviving in addition to her mother are her loving husband, Edward L. "Eddie" Baker Jr.; daughter, Una Fairhart (David); sons, "Eddie" Baker III (Tracey), John Baker (Becky), all of Chapin; angel grandchildren, Jessica, Joshua and Jennifer Fairhart, Allison, Amanda, Emily, Thomas and Jacob Baker; sisters, Sylvia Brannon (Danny) of Chapin, Barbara Mann (Ronnie) of Jenkinsville; brothers, Ronnie Boozer (Vicki) of Chapin, Buddy Boozer of Yemassee; sister-in-law, Ann Epting of Lexington; brother-in-law, Johnny Baker (Debbie) of Pelion; many nieces and nephews. The family would like to thank Dr. Mary Ackerman and Dr. Bradley Word, S.C. Oncology Center, Palmetto Health Baptist nurses (especially the 8th floor oncology nurses) and Palmetto Health Hospice for the love and compassion they've shown.
