From Mission Parks Funeral Chapels:

Beloved husband, father and grandfather, Robert T. Bordelon, went to be with our Lord July 16 after a long battle with cancer. He was born in San Antonio, June 25, 1938. Bob lived an honorable life as a RE/MAX Real Estate Agent, a banker and an engineer. His strong moral character shined as a volunteer for dozens of charities including the Stone Oak Rotary Club charter member, various PTAs, Knights of Columbus, the Equestrian Order of the Holy Sepulcher, and as an active member of Holy Spirit Catholic Church. Bob is the youngest brother of Medal of Honor Recipient USMC Ssgt Bill Bordelon. Bob was instrumental in bringing lasting honor to his brother's legacy by bringing the WWII hero's remains back to San Antonio in 1995. Recently the family presented the medal to the National Museum of the Pacific War in Fredericksburg. Bob and wife Patti celebrated their 50th wedding anniversary last month with a "sock hop" at Bob's alma mater, Central Catholic High School. The family requests that contributions can be made to CCHS or a charity of your choice. An avid outdoorsman, Bob is now hunting and fishing in the great fields and streams in the sky. Bob is survived by wife Patti Bordelon and sister Peggy Imhoff. Children: Sabrine Murphy George, Monique Bordelon Prouse Michael, Robert T. Bordelon Jr. Celine. Grandchildren: George, Grace, and Kate Murphy, Danielle and William M. Prouse, and Sophia and Tessa Bordelon, and many nieces and nephews. The family invites you to celebrate Bob's passions, God and Country, with a Visitation at 6: 30 and Rosary at 7:30 July 19 at Holy Spirit Catholic Church, 8134 Blanco Road, and with a Funeral Mass at 10:00am Friday, July 20th. Interment will be at Holy Cross Cemetery at 1:00pm.
