Bordoni, Ralph C.

Ralph C. Bordoni, 84, formerly of Richard Pl., Ithaca, NY, passed away on March 29, 2014 at the Oak Hill Manor Nursing Home surrounded by his loving family. He was born Ithaca, son of the late Camillo and Nancy Feocco Bordoni. Ralph was a graduate of Ithaca High School and spent his career at NYSEG and had also worked on weekends for many years at William's Shoe Store. Prior to his working at NYSEG, he had also worked at Morris' Men's Wear. Ralph was an active, lifetime member of the Immaculate Conception Church and had been an avid golfer and bowler. A loving and devoted husband, father and grandfather, Ralph is survived by his wife of 63 years, Mary; his three children, Karen (Mark) Keller, Mary (Randy) Johnston, and Dan (Dianne) Bordoni; his grandchildren, Bryan, Kristin, Kevin, Brianna, Dan, Caitlin, and Chris, as well as his great grandchildren, Damon, Lyla, Annalin, Timothy, and Cari. He is also survived by his sister, Anna (Dave) Nedrow and brother, Camillo (Mary Ellen) Bordoni; brother-in-law and sister-in-law, Rocco and Carm Longo and several cousins, nieces and nephews. In addition to his parents, Ralph was also predeceased by his sister, Mary (Anthony) Centra; brother-in-law and sister-in-law, Joseph and Phyllis Longo; his niece, Michelle Longo Ferris; nephew, David Longo and great nephew, CPL Christopher Bordoni. "Papa was one of a kind. He always made us feel so loved. His love was unconditional. He was a stable rock to Mom with his love and dedication to her. His care for her was selfless and he never left her side. Papa always made us smile and never lost his sense of humor. Papa is so loved by his family!" A Mass of The Resurrection will be celebrated by Fr. Jeffrey Tunnicliff on Saturday, April 05, 2014 at 11 a.m. at the Immaculate Conception Church. There are no calling hours. In lieu of flowers, donations in Ralph's memory may be made to the Immaculate Conception Church, 113 N. Geneva St., Ithaca, NY 14850. Bangs Funeral Home is in charge of arrangements.
