The daughter of the late William J. and Ella (Bezy) Schmidt, Alice was born May 7, 1918. She was a lifetime member of St. Mary's Catholic Church, Right to Life of So. Indiana, and Secular Franciscans. Alice retired from Hart Fireplace as executive secretary. She was preceded in death by her husband of 68 years, Joseph A. Bosco; and brother, James W. Schmidt.
Survivors include children: Barbara Ann Makinen (Jim), William Bosco (Rosie) and Therese Renn; eight grandchildren; and five great-grandchildren.
Visitation will be 1:00 pm - 8:00 pm Tuesday and after 9:00 am Wednesday at Kraft Funeral Service, 708 E. Spring Street, New Albany, IN. Her Funeral Mass will be 11:00 am Wednesday at St. Mary's Catholic Church, New Albany with burial to follow in St. Mary's Catholic Cemetery.
