Zelica Louise "Maw-Maw" Bourgogne Chanove went to meet her heavenly Father in the early hours of December 18, 2011 at her home in French Settlement. She follows her husband George H. "Pop" Chanove, Sr. after 62 years of marriage who died in 1995. She is survived by her 6 children: Mona Faye "Sugar" Chanove Williams, her 6 children and 16 grandchildren, Rose Ann "Bootsie" Chanove Fabre, her 4 children and 7 grandchildren, George H. "Sonny" Chanove, Jr., his daughter and one grandson, Marie Chanove Begley, her 3 children and 4 grandchildren, Sandra Chanove Wicker, her 2 children and 3 grandchildren, Pamela Chanove Peterson, her son and 2 grandchildren. She is also survived by her 33 great-great grandchildren. Zelica "Maw-Maw" enjoyed a very long and productive life of 99 years, with many years devoted to her family and church. She gave many selfless hours to the Alter Society and Rosary Groups of the various Catholic churches where she worshipped. She was also an avid fisherman along with many other activities that she enjoyed. She will be dearly missed by her family and friends. Visitation will be at Seale Funeral Home, Denham Springs on Tuesday December 20, 2011 from 3:00PM to 7:00PM. Visitation will resume at St. Joseph's Catholic Church, French Settlement on Wednesday, December 21, 2011 at 10:00AM until services at 11:00AM. Entombment will be at the St. Joseph's Catholic Church Mausoleum. Donations should be sent to St. Joseph's Catholic Church in French Settlement for Masses to be said in her honor in lieu of flowers. Seale Funeral Home, Denham Springs in charge of arrangements.
