Stella A. Boggs, age 69 of Cumberland, KY, entered into eternal rest at her residence on Monday, May 19, 2014. She was born April 27, 1945 in Harlan County to the late Garrett and Clercie Hall Bowdler. Stella spent her life being a homemaker to her family and working in retail businesses. She was a member of the Gilliam Chapel Church in Cumberland, KY.
In addition to her parents, she is preceded in death by a son, Johnny Boggs; brothers, Dennis Jones and Garrett Bowdler; and sisters, Wyvonne Shepherd and Nancy Boggs.
She leaves to cherish her memory, her husband, Arnold Boggs; children, Tommy (Teresa) Boggs, Lisa (Joe) Senters, Mary Boggs, Bethany Huff, Emily Huff, all of Cumberland, Billy (Mendy) Boggs of Partridge, and Joann Boggs of Whitesburg; daughter-in-law, Sue Boggs of Cumberland; sisters, Julia Broaddus and Kay Jones; 19 grandchildren; 13 great grandchildren; and a host of other family and friends.
The family will receive friends in the Chapel of the Tri City Funeral Home, 506 Holly Street, Benham, KY, on Tuesday, May 20, 2014, between 5 – 7 pm. Funeral services will follow visitation with service at 7 pm with Roger Jones and Pastor Jonathan Monhollen officiating.
