Daughter of the late Benjamin F. Bowen and Bettie E. Lassiter, she was the widow of Leon Earl Beach who died on March 1, 1988. She was survived by son, Kenneth Beach (Betty); granddaughter, Beth Anne Beach Atkins (David); sister, Bernice Bowen Hardison; great-grandchildren, Will Atkins and Lizzie Atkins. She was preceded in death by a brother, Toba Bowen; and sisters, Jennie Harrison and Myrtle Grace Wynne. She was a member of the Christian Chapel Church of Christ. Her funeral was held on July 28, 2010, with Minister Kurt Honican officiating.
