"On Wednesday morning at half past ten, occurred the death of Mrs. George B. Warren, who from the effects of a shock of paralysis, has been an invalid since last April. Mrs. Warren's maiden name was Emily Stewart Bowers and she was the eighth daughter of the late John M. Bowers of this village. She was born here May 1st, 1818. In the year 1836 she became the wife of William A. Collins; they had three children, only one of whom is now living, William H., with whom since the closing of the Fenimore last October, Mrs. Warren has made her home. After the death of Mr. Collins she was wedded to George Bouton Warren of Troy, who died in 1879. Since that time, she has resided in this village ... The funeral will be held at the home of her son on Main street, Saturday afternoon at three o'clock; the Rev. Mr. MacBride will officiate. The remains will be placed in Lakewood cemetery, beside those of her first husband." [The Otsego Farmer (Cooperstown, NY), Sept. 20, 1895, p. 5]
