Dies At Age of 74
GASPORT, Oct. 17 — Mrs. Lydia Bailey, 74, formerly of Barker, died Sunday at the home of Mrs. Fay Spears, Gasport.
Born in July, 1878, she lived in the vicinity of Barker most of her life and married Dan Bailey when she was 18 years old. They were farmers all their lives. Her husband died 18 years ago and about two and half years ago, she moved to the home of Mrs. Spears. She was a member of West Somerset Baptist Church.
Mrs. Bailey is survived by three sons, Roy A., Clarence O. of Newfane and Joseph E. of Lockport; three sisters, Mrs. Alice Maynard of Lyndonville, Mrs. Ethel Meland and Miss Lillian Bowers of Barker; also, one brother, Roy Bowers of Barker and 11 grandchildren.
Services will be held at the Bream Funeral Home, Gasport, tomorrow at 2 o'clock with the Rev. George Bishop officiating. Burial will be in Hartland Central Cemetery.
