Evell D. Bowie, Jr., 84, died on October 20, 2016 after a short illness. He was spreceded in death by his parents, Pearl and Evell Bowie, Sr.; brother, William Bowie; sister, Billieteen Dickerson; and stepson, Michael Owens. He is survived by his wife of 55 years, brother, brother-in-law, two sons, step-daughter, devoted niece and caregiver, five grandchildren, two great-granddaughters, and several nieces, grand-nieces and grand-nephews. Celebration of Life service: 12:00 p.m. October 26, 2016 at Moody Temple Cme Church. Arrangements: Smith & Gaston Southside Chapel.
