SODA SPRINGS — Helen Bowler Bennett, 72, of Soda Springs passed Sunday, August 12 2007, at the Caribou Me morial Living Center. She was born March 5, 1935 at Logan, Utah the daughter of Orson C. and Sarah Helen "Nellie" Lloyd Bowler.
She married Charles Watts Rosdahl in 1940. They lived on the farm and raised their family. She loved the farm and her family. She married Jerry Davis, November, 1952 in Soda Springs; they were later divorced. She married Max Larsen, February 14, 1958, in Soda Springs. Max passed away August 3, 1959.
Helen married Lloyd Orlen Bennett, July 4, 1971, at Elko, Nevada. Their marriage was later solemnized in the Logan, Utah LDS Temple. Lloyd died July 1, 2004.
Helen grew up in Central, and graduated from Grace High School. She completed the health care section of the food service superiors course. She was a qualified food service supervisor.
She was a member of the Soda Springs LDS First Ward, having served as a Primary teacher, Sunday school teacher and ReSociety visiting .
She enjoyed all sports; she loved to bowl. She enjoyed her home, children, grandchildren and great-grandchildren.
Helen is survived by one son and one daughter, Jerald Craig and JoAnn Davis, and Lora Lynne Kelsch, all of Soda Springs; six grandchildren; and brothers, Walter and Peggy Rosdahl, Smithfield, Utah, and Dr. Orson Bowler, Preston, Idaho. She was also preceded in death by a brother, Howard Bowler, two sisters, Melba Dygert and Beth Christensen, and a stepson, Steven K. Bennett.
Funeral services will be conducted on Thursday, August 16, at noon at the Soda Springs LDS First Ward Chapel, with Bishop Greg Torgeson officiating. Friends may call on Wednesday evening, Aug. 15, at the Sims Funeral Home from 7 to 8 p.m. and at the First Ward Chapel on Thursday from 10:30 a.m. to 11:45 a.m. prior to services. Burial will be in the Grace Cemetery.
Services are under the direction of the Sims Funeral Home.
