Donald W. Bowman, 67, of Memphis, TN, passed away on Friday, June 10, 2011. He was a Registered Nurse for over 43 years, and was working for St. Jude Children's Research Hospital. Mr. Bowman was also an instructor for Southwest Community College for over 20 years. He was a Marine Vietnam Veteran. Mr. Bowman was a member of Christ the King Lutheran Church. He is survived by his loving wife of 40 years, Betty A. Bowman; and his children, Elizabeth Burks, Fred W. Bowman, and Martha A. Bowman, a brother, Robert "Bob" Bowman, and one grandson, Walker Bowman Burks. The family will receive friends and family from 5 p.m. to 7 p.m. Monday, June 13, at Memorial Park Funeral Home. The funeral service will be held at 10 a.m. Tuesday, June 14, at Christ the King Lutheran Church, 5296 Park Ave. Memphis, TN. Interment will be at Memorial Park Cemetery.
