Son of Kate Boyle and the late John Boyle.
Husband of Margaret Boyle (née Sheehan), of 4, Quinn's Cottage, Dunne St.,
Dublin.
Born at Dublin.

In 1917, John Boyle was a Fireman - a Stoker, working on board SS "Hare", which was torpedoed and sunk in the Irish Sea when 7 miles east of the Kish Lightship in Dublin Bay.
His body was not recovered.

John Boyle, a bachelor, a Seaman, from Malahide, son of John Boyle, a Railway Worker, married Margaret Sheehan, a spinster, from Carrick Hill, Malahide, daughter of Maurice Sheehan (deceased), a Railway Signalman, on 13 January 1905, at Baldoyle Catholic Church, Co. Dublin.

In the 1911 census, the family were living at 31 Lower Gloucester Street, Dublin
