Antonio "Tony" Brando, who had worked as a self-employed stone mason, died Friday. He was 76 and lived in Swarthmore.
Originally from Palmi, Italy, Brando came to the United States in 1948. He was a member of Notre Dame de Lourdes Church in Swarthmore, Stone Masons Union Local 3 and the National Association of the Italian Navy. He had served in the Italian Navy during World War II.
Survivors include his wife, the former Jennie Scafidi; a son, Vincent S. Brando; a daughter, Grace C. Christensen; two brothers, Pasquale and Joseph; two sisters, Sircirsa Barone and Marie Brando; and two grandsons.
Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated at 10 a.m. tomorrow at Notre Dame de Lourdes Church, Michigan Avenue and Fairview Road, Swarthmore. Entombment will be in Holy Cross Mausoleum, Baily Road and Wycombe Avenue, Yeadon, Delaware County.
Friends may call after 7 tonight at the Nolan-Fidale Funeral Home, 2316 Providence Ave., Chester.
