Darlene Allen, 59, of Sardis died Wednesday, September 30, 2009.
She was born April 11, 1950, in Little Rock.
Mrs. Allen graduated from Bauxite High School, retired from the Pulaski County Sheriffs Office as a sergeant and was a member of Mars Hill Missionary Baptist Church.
She was preceded in death by her father, John Bratton; and a daughter, Dana Michelle Allen.
Survivors include her husband of 41 years, David Allen of Sardis; her mother, Mary Bratton of Bauxite; a son, John Allen of Bauxite; a daughter, Melissa McWilliams and husband Chris of Conway; seven grandchildren, Alison, David, Skylar, Justyn, Bailey, Shelby and Daniel; two brothers; and three sisters.
Funeral service will be held at 10 a.m. Saturday at Ashby Funeral Home. Burial will be in Mars Hill Cemetery in Bauxite. The Rev. Davy McCool will be officiating.
Visitation will be from 7 to 9 p.m. Friday at the funeral home.
