Elinor is survived by her son, Kent Bratton and his wife, Julie, daughter, Jan Brunton and her husband, Dean, all of Albuquerque, grandchildren, Jennifer Bratton, Jessica Aull, Don Brunton and his wife, Carina and Tom Brunton and his wife, Rachel, nine great-grandchildren, one great-great-grandchild, brother, Bud Schultz, sister, Janet Lee Heikkinen and dear family friends, Heidi Jenson and Bob Hatcher.
Elinor was preceded in death by her husband of 59 years, Merton Bratton.
Elinor was an educator in APS for over 20 years and was an avid motorcycle rider, hunter and outdoor enthusiast. At the age of 70, Elinor received an award for a 1600-mile ride at a BMW motorcycle rally. Elinor came from a musical family and was active in church and other musical activities. Elinor and her husband loved to travel and see the world on numerous cruises.
Memorial Services will be held on Saturday, December 28, 2019 at 11:00 a.m. at St. Paul's United Methodist Church, 9500 Constitution Ave. NE with a reception to follow.
In lieu of flowers, the family requests donations to the Alzheimer’s Association, New Mexico Chapter.
