NORFOLK - Aaron Braxton Sr. of 7408 Hughart St. died Saturday in a hospital.

A native of Norfolk County, he was a son of carter and Mrs. Adelaide Braxton and the husband of Mrs. Beulah Braxton.

He was a deacon, trustee, treasurer, and Sunday School superintendent of Mt. Pleasant Baptist Church and secretary of Tidewater Masonic Lodge 106.

He was a member of Community Civic League and a retired employe of Price's, Inc.

Besides his wife, He is survived by five sons, Earl S. Braxton, Aaron Braxton Jr. and Elijah Braxton of Norfolk, and Carter R. Braxton and the Rev. Harold Braxton of Eterick; three daughters, Mrs. Beulah B. Johnson and Mrs. Corrine Brooks of Norfolk and Mrs. Rose B. West of Berkeley, Calif.; a sister, Mrs. Ethel B. Turner of Hampton; 24 grandchildren; and four great-grandchildren.

A funeral service will be held Tuesday at 1:30 p.m. in Mt. Pleasant Baptist Church by the Rev. Ben A. Beamer with burial in the church cemetery. The body will be taken to the church form graves Funeral Home at 11 a.m.
