Ms. Braxton was born in Norfolk.
Survivors include her mother, Rosetta Braxton and father, James Braxton of Norfolk; and four sisters, Dale Mitchell, Patricia Wood and Margaret Bell, all of Norfolk, and Brenda Robinson of Petersburg.
A funeral will be conducted at 11 a.m. Thursday in St. Mark RZUA Church by the Rev. Ben Thomas. Burial will be in Magnolia Cemetery. The family will assemble at the residence. Graves Funeral Home is handling arrangements.
