BOGGS, Charlene 87, of Springfield, passed away peacefully on Sunday, January 27, 2013. She was born on November 26, 1925 in Springfield, the daughter of the late Agnes Brenner and adopted father, Michael Brenner. She is preceded in death by her husband, Lowell E Boggs (1997); daughter, Kathryn (1948); and sister, Ona Odette Sparrow. She is survived by her children, Sherry Wright, Michael (Janet) Boggs and David (Kathy) Boggs; 6 grandchildren, Todd Wright, Lori (Rodney) Pettit, Tina (Jerry) Turcie, Celeste (Jerry) Livengood, Joy (Mark) Kati and Lindsey (Chuck) Spraggins; 11 great-grandchildren, Justin, Shelby, Jordan, Seth, Maxwell, Connor, Michael, Gabriel, Mason, Jackson and Monica; sister-in-law, Mary Powers; aunt, Glenna Owens; and numerous nieces, nephews and cousins. She was a member of Emery Chapel United Methodist Church where she dearly loved singing in the choir. Charlene also was a volunteer at Community Hospital for over 30 years. Viewing will be held on January 30, 2013 from 11:30 a.m. -1:00 p.m. at Emery Chapel United Methodist Church, where a celebration of Charlene's life will begin at 1:00 pm Burial to follow at Glen Haven Memorial Gardens.
