Mr. Albert E. Brewer, 82, of Winston-Salem died Thursday, May 9, 2002, at his home. Mr. Brewer was born Jan. 5, 1920, in Winston-Salem to Robert M. Brewer and Grace Hudson Brewer. He was a member of Calvary Baptist Church, served in the Navy during World War II and retired from the shipping and receiving departments of AT&T and Sears, Roebuck & Co. Preceding him in death were his wife, Mildred Palmer Brewer; and a brother-in-law, Kenneth L. Palmer. Surviving are three sons, Steve Brewer and wife Vicki of Clemmons, Michael Brewer of Winston-Salem, and Jeff Brewer and wife Charita of Walkertown; and three grandchildren, David Brewer, Kevin Brewer and Chris Brewer. Graveside services will be held at 11 a.m. Monday at Forsyth Memorial Park Mausoleum Chapel conducted by Dr. Gary Chapman. The family will receive friends from 6 to 8 p.m. Sunday at Vogler & Sons Reynolda Road Funeral Home. Memorials may be made to American Cancer Society, 4-A Oak Branch Drive, Greensboro, NC 27405.
