Janet L. Wallick, 54, Roseville, formerly of Abingdon, died at 7:15 p.m. Wednesday, Feb. 22, 2006, at her home.

She was born March 26, 1951, in Galesburg, the daughter of Charles D. Sr. and Shirley D. (Huggins) Briggs. She married Bill Wright. She then married Patrick D. Wallick Sr. Feb. 14, 1987, in Galesburg. He survives.

She is also survived by one daughter, Crystal Wright; sons, Kevin Wright; Patrick Wallick Jr.; and Nathan Wallick; brothers Charles Jr. (Marna) Briggs; James (Shirley) Briggs; William (Linda) Briggs; and Judson (Peggi) Briggs; four grandchildren; and three step-grandchildren.

She was preceded in death by her parents.

She graduated from Carl Sandburg College, Galesburg, with a nursing degree. She worked at Galesburg Cottage Hospital for 15 years as a senior licensed practical nurse. She moved from Abingdon to Roseville nine years ago.

She served in the National Guard for seven years, where she received the Airman of the Year award. She was an avid bowler and was a past president of the Roseville Women's Bowling League, and enjoyed building doll houses and sewing.

Funeral services were held Sunday, Feb. 26, 2006, at Hinchliff-Pearson-West Chapel, with the Rev. Anthony Lee officiating and military rites provided by Harry E. Wiles American Legion Post 381, Abingdon. Cremation was accorded following the service.

Memorials may be made to the University of Iowa Hospitals research.
