Faye Bakkila, age 89, of Moorhead, MN, died Monday, July 10, 2006, in the Moorhead Health Care Center.
Faye was born February 11, 1917, to Henry and Elizabeth Brinkman. She grew up on the family farm at Danzig, ND, (rural Ashley, ND).
In 1934, she moved to Fargo, ND, where she met Elmer Bakkila and they were married September 24, 1940, in Hennepin County, MN. They returned to Fargo where Faye worked in food preparation at the FM Hotel and various restaurants until her retirement. After retirement, she moved to Park View Terrace, Moorhead, and then to the Moorhead Health Care Center.
She was preceded in death by her parents, six brothers, four sisters, and her grandson, Michael Allen Heinzen.
Interment: Sunset Memorial Gardens, Fargo.
