MARRIAGE - BROMHEAD and KEANE
"The marriage took place at St. Columba's Church at 6 pm on Wednesday of Mr. William Swift Bromhead, eldest son of Mr and Mrs. J. Bromhead of Scone, to Miss May Keane, only daughter of Mr. and Mrs J. J. Keane of Kembla, Cootamundra.......The bride, who looked exceedingly pretty, was married in her travelling dress.......the happy couple journeyed to Wallendbeen by motor, where they caught the first division of the mail train for Sydney. The honeymoon is to be extensive, visiting the summer resorts of the south coast, the mountains and Sydney. The presents were a really beautiful lot, including gifts from Queensland, South Australia and Victoria: also received a handsome total in cheques. Mr. Bromhead.......is in the Department of Justice and since leaving Coota(mundra) a couple of years ago, has been on the OPS relief staff. He is recognised as one of the best officers in the Department, whilst his bride was an exceedingly popular young lady."

*son Private John Swift Bromhead 1912-1942 died in Egypt in battle for his country. He was with the Australian Army.
