Mrs. R.E. Brostrom passed away at 11:35 a.m. Saturday following a stroke the previous evening. Although she had been doctoring for high blood pressure, it wasn't realized that her condition was so serious.

Anna Elizabeth, daughter of John A. and Sofia Swanson, was born Aug. 20, 1895 at Round lake, Minn. and passed away at her home Saturday, Jan. 3, 1948 at 11:35 a.m., at the age of 52 years, 4 months and 16 days.

She was united in marriage to Randolph E. Brostrom Feb. 23, 1916
To mourn her loss, she leaves her husband, two sons, Chester of Fremont and Dexter of Oskaloosa, also one brother, Clarence Swanson of Fremont; and three sisters,
Mrs. Helen Harkinson of Wright, Mrs. Emily Brostrom of University Park, and Mrs. Eva DeYoung of Long Beach California and many friends and relatives.

She was a good and faithful mother, a kind friend, and faithful in committing her ways to her Lord in prayer. She will be greatly missed.

Funeral services were held on Thursday, January 6th at the Wilcox Garland Chapel in Oskaloosa, with Rev. R. A. Reed in charge. Mrs. Esther Carr sang, accompanied by Miss Jenny Fry. Pallbearers were Horace Hedge, William Larson, Charles Larson, Frank Anderson, Garrit VanDyk, and R. Hawkinson. Burial in Cedar Township cemetery.
