A memorial service for Carolyn N. Allison will be at 11 a.m. Saturday at Ranfranz & Vine Funeral Homes in Rochester, with the Rev. Scott Jorgenson officiating. Burial will be in Oakwood Cemetery.

Mrs. Allison, 95, of Rochester, died Wednesday (Nov. 26, 2008) at Saint Marys Hospital.

Carolyn Nina Brown was born Jan. 9, 1913, in Clark, S.D., and graduated from Clark High School in 1930. She married David C. Allison on Nov. 15, 1939, in Minneapolis. They moved to Rochester in 1948, and she worked at Mayo Clinic as a lab technician for 14 years. Her husband worked for People's Cooperative Power; he died in 1964.

Mrs. Allison enjoyed golf, swimming, traveling, and especially being with her family. She was a member of the American Legion Auxiliary, and supported and volunteered with Paws & Claws Humane Society.

Survivors include two daughters, June C. (Tommy) Smith of Dallas, Texas, and Deborah K. (William) Osterman of Hawkins, Texas; a son, D. Michael (Mary) of Rochester; five grandchildren; two stepgrandchildren; and eight great-grandchildren. In addition to her husband, she was preceded in death by a sister and three brothers.

Memorials are suggested to Paws & Claws or the Ronald McDonald House.
