Bette Averett Browning

Bette Averett Browning passed away peacefully at her home in Houston, Texas on Wednesday, December 22, 2010, at the age of 82, with her twin sons, Kent and Brent, at her bedside. After a brief illness, our mother departed this life to rejoin her husband and eternal companion, Jack L. Browning, who died last year.

Born May 4, 1928 in Emmett, Idaho, she was preceded in death by her parents, Clara Fowler Averett and Percy Rex Averett and her brothers, Albert Rex Averett and Donald Ray Averett.

She is survived by her sons, Kent J. Browning, J.D., and Brent R. Browning, D.D.S., her daughter, Brenda K. Armstrong, her half-sister Joan Brady, and numerous grandchildren and great-grandchildren.

Our mother valiantly fulfilled her life's mission by sustaining her husband, strengthening her family, an deserving her God as a faithful member of The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter Day Saints.

Funeral services will be held Wednesday at 11 a.m. at Lindquist's Ogden Mortuary 3408 Washington Blvd.

Family will meet friends at the mortuary on Tuesday from 6 to 8 pm and Wednesday 9:45 to 10:45 am.

Interment, Lindquist's Washington Heights Memorial Park, 4500 Washington Blvd.
