The Winona Times, June 8, 2000: Mrs. Effie Dale Brunt Bennett, 76, of Winona, died of heart failure on June 4, 2000, at Greanda Lake Medical Center. She was a homemaker and a member of North Winona Baptist Church. Mrs. Bennett was preceded in death by her husband, Oscar Bennett. Funeral services were held at Lee Funeral Home Chapel of Winona on June 6, officaited by Rev. Dan Beardain and assisted by Rev. Rick Burton. Burial was in New Hope Cemetery in Winona. Mrs. Bennett is survived by one daughter, Carolyn B. Lott of Grenada; one son, John A. Bennett of Duck Hill; one sister, Dotie Fultz of Clinton, La.; three grandchildren and two great-grandchildren. Pallbearers were Lawrence Braswell, Thomas Buchfield, Terry Corley, Gary Blaylock, Rodney Blaylock, and Boyce Rowland. Memorisla may be made to Duck Hill Baptist Church Building Fund and New Hope Cemetery Fund. Lee Funeral Home was in chage of the arrangements.
