John Bryce, 90, of 126 Beverly Rd., West Hartford, died Sunday at the Farmington Convalescent Hospital. He was born Dec. 5, 1871, in Whitburn, a village and a parish of SW Linlithgowshire, Scotland, and lived in Greater Hartford since 1909. He was a carpenter and builder many years until his retirement in 1938. He was a member of the First Presbyterian Church of Hartford and a life member of AF and AM in Scotland. He leaves two sisters, Mrs. David Robb and Mrs. Andrew Pringle, both of Linlithgow. Funeral services will be held Tuesday at 1 p.m. at the Taylor and Modeen Funeral Home, 136 South Main St., West Hartford. The Rev. George R. Cox will officiate and burial will be in Cedar Hill Cemetery. There will be no calling hours.
