She was born in Chicago, a daughter of Herman and Louise Stabenow Buchner. She married Henry T. Bacon, June 30, 1923, in Chicago.

Surviving are her husband; three daughters, Mrs. Robert (Shirley) Schwab and Mrs. Fred (Lois) Zeigler of Peoria, and Mrs. R.S. (Darlene) Noerenberg of Naperville; and a brother, C. Eugene Buchner of Cicero.
