Kinder. Mr. Charles Stuart Buck Sr., 89, passed away Tuesday, March 15, 2016 surrounded by his loving family. He was a native and lifelong resident of Kinder. Mr. Buck graduated from Kinder High School in 1943 and continued his education at McNeese Jr. College and LSU earning his Master’s Degree plus 30 years in administration and supervision and earning his undergraduate in science and physical education. He retired after 32 years of educating students as a teacher, coach, and principal. He was devoted to his students and he always made it a point to remember their names. After retirement, Mr. Buck taught at Oakdale Alternative School and Sowella Technical Institute. He also attended Kinder Bible Church. Mr. Buck was a faithful husband, father, grandfather, brother, and friend. He will be missed dearly by those who knew and loved him.

He is survived by his loving wife of over 61 wonderful years, Billie Pitts Buck; four children, Rosalind Buck Broussard and husband Asa of Sulphur, Charles Buck Jr. of Kinder, Jerry Buck and wife Diane of Sulphur, Kay Buck Arenas and husband Rodrigo of Houston, TX; two special nieces, Penny Buck Hayes and husband Ronnie of Fenton, Candy Buck Thiel and husband Steve of Frisco, TX; sister, Rosalind Buck Everman of Tryon, N.C.; 11 grandchildren, Brittany Chaumont, Jill Broussard, Justin Broussard, Tre’ Buck, Matthew Buck, William Buck, Kirby Buck, Cristina Berkompas, Daniela Arenas, Christopher Buck, and Victoria Arenas; 9 great grandchildren.

Preceded in death by his parents, Dr. Will and Lillian Buck; two brothers, Bill Buck and Johnny Buck.

Funeral service will be Thursday, March 17, 2016 at 3PM at Kinder Bible Church. Rev. Don Barrett will officiate. Burial will be at Kinder McRill Cemetery under the direction of Reed Funeral Home of Kinder. Visitation will begin Thursday at Kinder Bible Church at 12 noon until time of service.

Stuart was a US Navy WWII veteran.
