Funeral services for Charles Everette Buck, 69, of Wisner, La will be 3 PM Saturday November 29, 2008 at Central Baptist Church in Wisner with Rev. Larry Eubanks and Rev. Michael Devillier officiating. Burial will follow in the church cemetery under the direction of Gill First National Funeral Home in Winnsboro. Visitation will begin at 10 AM until service time at the church.

Buck was born to the union of his parents: Everette Hale and Onex Dorman Buck on July 2, 1939 in Leake County, MS and went to be with his Lord on November 26, 2008 at his residence in Wisner. Mr. Buck was a member of Holly Grove Baptist Church. He was retired from Scoggin's Chevrolet, Global Marine Drilling Company as Rig engineer and Haring Pride as a mechanic. He is preceded in death by his parents and one sister: Betty Moore.

Buck is survived by his wife of 23 years Jackie Bass Buck of Wisner, LA; daughter: Vickie Buck of Lake Charles, LA; Son: Warren Buck of Randall, Minnesota; four step-daughters: Cathy Beach and husband Darrell of Wisner, LA; Renee Jones and husband Gary of Pineville, LA; Karen Holloway of Wisner, LA and Sam Shafer and husband Jerry of Monroe, LA; stepson: Keith Holloway of Gilbert, LA . Ten Grandchildren: Madeline Elise Buck; Somer, Cassi and Haley Beach; Joshua and Brittanie Holloway; Seth Jones; Taylor and Kara Roberts, and Jamie Rachel; one great grandson: Cason Beach. . five sisters: Fredia Hunt and husband Bill of Wier, MS; Hilda Leach and husband Willie of Philadelphia, MS; Kathy Harrell of Morton, MS; Geneva Townsend and husband Jerry of Louisville, MS and Helen Killen of Morton, Ms; two brothers: Joe Buck and Harry Buck both of Morton, MS. And a host of nieces, nephews and other relatives and friends.

Pallbearers will be Corbet King, Seth Jones, Danny Bass, Josh Holloway, Darrell Beach, Ronald Beach and Calvin Augustine, Gary Jones.

Honorary Pallbearers will be Dennis Roberts, Guy Barfield, Jerry Zeigler along with the Adult Sunday School Class of Holly Grove Baptist Church and the Men's Sunday School Class of Central Baptist Church.
