Interlachen - It was no surprise here that the death of that good woman, Mrs. Bullard (-1924), come Monday night, for her life had been despaired of since the severe attack of paralysis several days ago. Interment was in the Interlachen cemetery, Tuesday afternoon, after a fitting service at the home of Mrs. McConnell and her son, Edward, at the old Smith estate in the suburbs. Rev. S. B. Ross had charge of the closing words and the Congregational choir and other friends sang, spoke comfortingly to the bereaved husband and daughter, Mrs. McConnell, bringing lovely flowers as a last token of appreciation. Pallbearers were: E. H. Ewing, Rev. S. J. Townsend, J. W. Kephard and F. A. Olsen. (Times-Herald Obituary dtd Friday, 11 Jul 1924.)
