Mrs. Edith Heartsell Bullard, age 103, died August 5, 2005. She was born in Washington DC, on November 20, 1901, and grew up in Spring Place, GA. After finishing school, she moved to Atlanta and worked for Gulf Oil Company and Southeastern Pipeline Company. She later joined her husband in their food brokerage business. In addition to her business career, Mrs. Bullard was a talented writer, and many of her short stories were published. After her marriage Mrs. Bullard and her husband were early landowners and made their home in Dunwoody, GA. They became active members of Dunwoody United Methodist Church. She assisted in writing the early history of Dunwoody, GA, including many facts about Dunwoody United Methodist Church. Mrs. Bullard was preceded in death by her husband, Harold G. Bullard, and her niece, Madeline Barnett Holloway. She is survived by several nieces and nephews.
