Funeral service for Fannie Madge Alford, 90, will be held at 10 a.m. on Monday, Feb. 21, in the chapel of Hartman-Hughes Funeral Home, Tylertown, Miss.... Mrs. Alford, a resident of Scott [Lafayette Parish, LA], died at Our Lady of Lourdes Regional Medical Center in Lafayette on Thursday, Feb. 17, 2005.
She was born March 17, 1914, in Walthall County, Miss., and was the daughter of the late Nola and Wallace Burch. She was a homemaker and a retired real estate broker, having owned Terrebonne Realty. She was of the Baptist faith and was a very loving mother.
In addition to her parents, she was also preceded in death by her two husbands, Laudis Elbert Alford Sr. and Albert Delaune Sr.; a son, Laudis "L.E." Elbert Alford Jr.; a granddaughter, Katherine Barry; sister, Katherine Elizabeth Burch; and brother, Snellings Burch.
Mrs. Alford is survived by three daughters, Gloria Markezich of Scott, Katherine Miller of Denham Springs, and Carolyn LeBouef of Houma; two sons, Gary Alford of Houma and Howard Alford of Ocean Springs, Miss.; a brother, T.J. Burch of Tylertown; four sisters, Pauline Deavers and Odeal Johnson, both of Tylertown, Marie Campbell of Pace, Fla., and Faye Roberts of Birmingham, Ala.; and numerous grandchildren and great-grandchildren.
Visitation at the funeral home from 8 a.m. until time of service on Monday. Burial in Tylertown Cemetery.
