Thomas Burke age 90 of Moriches, passed away peacefully at his home on January 14, 2016. Mr. Burke worked for many years for the United States Postal Service and he proudly served our country in the United States Navy. Mr. Burke is predeceased by his son Jerome Klune. He is survived by his beloved wife Florence, loving children, Michael, Thomas, Eileen Burke and Regina Woods, his devoted sisters, Carol, Geraldine and Betty. He also leaves behind seven grandchildren and many great grandchildren. Visitation was at Sinnickson's Moriches Funeral Home on January 15, 2016, where military honors were held in the afternoon. A funeral mass was held the next morning at St. John's RC Church in Center Moriches, with interment following afterwards to Pinelawn Memorial Park in Farmingdale.
