- Mary Jane (nee Burke) Of Lackawanna, January 29, 2015, wife of the late Melvin W. Baer; mother of Kathleen (L. David) Backus, Kevin (Phyllis) Baer and Maureen (Dr. Thaddeus, D.D.S.) Pantera; grandmother of Matthew (Romy) Backus, Michael (Katie) Backus, Abby (Jason) Cotter, Lauren (Nicholas) Kalczynski, Brian Baer and Jonathan Pantera; great-grandmother of Keara and Gavyn Cotter and Mark Backus. Visitation Monday 4-8 PM at NORMAN E. GANNON & SONS, Inc. FUNERAL HOME, 1075 Ridge Rd., Lackawanna (824-4000). Friends are invited to join the family for The Mass of Christian Burial at Our Lady of Victory National Shrine & Basilica, Tuesday at 10:30 AM. Burial to follow at Holy Cross Cemetery. Mrs. Baer was a member of Catholic Daughters of the Americas-Court Msgr. Baker, Altar & Rosary Society of Our Lady of Victory and American Legion Post 63 Ladies Auxiliary.
