Anna Lena Albers, nee Burkhardt, was born January 8, 1873, in Saxony, Germany. In July 1900, with her brother, Paul Burkhardt, she came to this country and lived in the Palmer community every since. On March 6, 1902, she entered holy matrimony with Henry Albers, both having been members of St. John's Lutheran Church of Palmer all these years.
After an extended and painful illness, it pleased God and Savior to summon her redeemed soul out of this vale of tears unto Himself on Monday afternoon, March 8, 1943, at 3:10 o'clock. She attained an age of 70 years and 2 months.
Besides her devoted husband, she is survived by a son, John Burkhardt of Palmer an adopted son, Herman Albers of Caldwell, Idaho, an adopted daughter, Mrs. Else Marquardt of Chapman, a brother, Paul Burkhardt of Palmer, one son-in-law, two daughters-in-law, and ten grandchildren.
