*Not sure who Ruth's parents are - although according to her obituary, they were a pioneer family in Corona, Riverside county, CA. - It appears she lost both parents before the age of 11 because she was living as a lodger in a rooming house without either of her parents in the 1910 census.


In the Apr. 26, 1910 U. S. Census, 11 yr. old Ruth Bennett (Burnett) was attending school and living in Temescal township (part of Corona City,), Riverside county, CA. with 

53 yr. old (head of household) William H. Frazier, the Landlord of a rooming house, b. in MO.

43 yr. old (future mother-in-law), Ida B. Frazier, b. in IN.

13 yr. old (future step-brother-in-law) Henry R. Frazier, b. in CA.

26 yr. old (future husband, son of Ida), Arvil Bainbridge, doing odd jobs, b. in CA.

And 5 lodgers: 36 yr. old divorcé, Charles Boles, a Laborer doing odd jobs, b. in CA.

26 yr. old Samuel Niles, an unmarried Laborer, doing general farming, b. in OR.

46 yr. old widower, Roland Eames, a Laborer, doing general farming, b. in CT.

This was a first marriage for William and a 2nd for Ida. They had been marr. for 17 years. Ida was the mother of 3 children, all still alive by this census.
