Burns had been working as a smelterman; he had lived in Canada for twenty years, and in Trail and BC for ten years. Son of John Burns and Mary Mcnair, he was single. Informant was his sister "Mrs. Mary Kennedy". Interred 08 Aug 1931.

Resident Here Intermittently Since 1919; Overseas With Canadians
TRAIL. B. C. Aug. 7.—Archibald Burns, resident ol Trail intermittently since 1913, died last night at Trail-Tadanac hospital. Funeral services are to be held tomorrow afternoon, with interment at Trail cemetery.
Mr. Burns was born in Dumbartonshire, Scotland, 44 years ago. When mobilization was taking place in Calgary he enlisted and went overseas. At the conclusion of hostilities he returned to Canada, coming to Trail in 1919 and residing here off and on since then.
He is survived by a sister, Mrs. Mary Kennedy of Trail, and a brother, William, of Georgetown, Scotland.
