"The death of Mrs. Margaret Hill Burton, widow of the late Edward D. Boden, for many years a prominent Cooperstown business man, occurred at 4:30 o'clock, Wednesday afternoon, October 12th, at her home at Altadena, Calif., following an illness dating back to the latter part of last May. Mrs. Boden was the daughter of Edward Daniel and Sarah Elizabeth (Huntington) Burton and was born at Albany, October 24, 1873. She attended the Albany Girls' Academy and was a resident of that city until her marriage with Mr. Boden of this village in 1907. Her home was in Cooperstown for twenty-seven years. Mr. Boden, who was a member of the firm of Brazee & Boden, druggists, for several years, and also engaged in the undertaking profession, passed away in 1930. In 1934, Mrs. Boden went to Albany where she lived until November, 1936, since which time she has resided in California, until very recently at Pasadena ... Surviving are the following brothers and sisters: Edward H. Burton of Atlanta, Miss Harriette P. Burton of Pasadena, Calif., Mrs. Norman Williams of Altadena, Calif., Mrs. Carroll J. Holliday of New Canaan, Conn., John Newton Burton of Allentown, Pa.; one daughter, Miss Mary A. Boden of Altadena, Calif., and several nephews and nieces. The funeral services were held Friday morning of last week at 11 o'clock at Pasadena, Calif., and the cremated remains were brought to Cooperstown where the committal services were held at the family plot in Lakewood cemetery, Wednesday afternoon at 2 o'clock, the Rev.
