A long-time resident of Chatham, Bud and his wife Barbara ran Chatham Printing Service for over 20 years and were an integral part of the "elbow" community, having started vacationing here in 1958 and moving here permanently in 1986.

A graduate of Bassick High School and the University of Bridgeport, he also served in the Navy on board the USS Skylark doing hard duty while stationed in Key West, Fla.

He was very involved in music and sang in the Trinity Boy Choir in Southport when he was young, the University Choir while in college, and the Navy's Blue Jacket Choir while serving. He was also a key Chorister at Trinity Church in Newtown, Conn. and at St. Christopher's Church. In addition to his vocal prowess, he also took great pleasure in serenading family and friends with his baritone ukulele, which seemed to always be at his side.

Prior to purchasing Chatham Printing Service, he was vice president of Bushnell Marine Supply in New Haven, Conn. While in Chatham he also was a member of the Chatham Waterways Committee and a past board member of the Chatham Chamber of Commerce.

His smile and personality will be remembered by all who have met him, a bunch of good friends and a ton of family.

He is survived by his wife of 52 years, Barbara J. Bush; children Philip (Carrie) Bush of Hingham, Mass., Leslie (Peter) Collins of Shrewsbury, Mass., Lindsey (Jeff) Dill of Portland, Ore., and Mark (Vittoria) Bush of Holliston, Mass.; grandchildren Madison, Alden, McKenzie, Maggie, Ben, Avery, Sam, John, and Frances; a brother, Chauncey L. Bush and family of Wallingford, Conn.; the Vince family of Long Beach, Calif.; several nieces, nephews, and cousins; and extended family and dear friends the Hoyda family and Firisin family.

Private burial is planned in Chatham.

A celebration of his life will be held at 11 a.m. on Saturday, Nov. 28 at St. Christopher's Episcopal Church.

In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to the St. Christopher's Memorial Fund.
