Valary J. (Butler) Bradley, 76, of Berlin, died January 31, 2013 at her home surrounded by her loving family. She was the wife of 48 years to the late Roger L. Bradley who died in 2005.

Valary was born in Hingham, daughter of the late George E. and Vera (Callahan) Butler and step-daughter of the late Anna (Doolin) Butler.

She was raised in South Boston where she attended local schools and was a 1953 graduate and class President at St. Augustine High School in South Boston.

She served her country shortly after high school as a member of the U.S. Marine Corps and was a Veteran of the Korean War.

She was employed as a manager for 26 years by Hendries Frozen Food Co. in Southboro. She was a member and employee of the Berlin Country Club, formerly known as Pinecrest and The Netherwoods. She was a life member of the Marlboro Amvets, member of the Women's of War and Member of the Turners in Clinton.

Valary was a proud Lifetime member of the Marine Corps League of Worcester; she spent 45 years as a member of the Women's Auxiliary; spent 30 years as a volunteer of the Berlin Polls; charter member of the Berlin Snowmobile Club; past member of the Evening Guild; 25 year member of the Berlin Grange; member of the Berlin Seniors and Berlin Lions Club; she was a member of the first Women's Fire Muster Team; member of the Berlin PTA and member of SOAR Club at the Berlin Memorial School. She was a member of Saint Joseph's Parish in Berlin.

Valary served her community proudly as a member of the Board of Selectmen in Berlin for 22 years and dedicated her spare time as a softball coach and Den Mother in Berlin.

She looked forward to her many trips worldwide and spending the holidays with her family. She was an avid golfer enjoying her yearly golf trips to Jack-O-Lantern. She enjoyed reading and crossword puzzles and was an avid N.Y. Giants fan.

She was the sister of the late Robert E. Butler. She will be missed by all who knew her, especially her loving pets, Molly and Buddy.

Burial will follow in South Cemetery, Berlin.
