Margaret Elizabeth (Peggy) Blacksten, age 73, of Versailles, passed away Wednesday evening, June 11, 2003 at Capital Region Medical Center in Jefferson City. She was born November 17, 1929 in Berwick, Pennsylvania, the daughter of John Wesley and Lula Mayona Hess Cadman. She was united in marriage on November 13, 1955 with Dennis Culley Blacksten, who preceded her in death on December 17, 1986. Mrs. Blacksten was a retired Licensed Practical Nurse and member of the First Assembly of God Church in Versailles. She is survived by one brother, Donald Cadman of Bradenton, Florida, several nieces and nephews, many other relatives and friends. Funeral services will be at 2:00 p.m. Saturday, June 14, at the Kidwell-Garber Funeral Home in Versailles, with Reverend Roy Bennett officiating. Interment will be in the Hopewell Cemetery near Versailles. The family will receive friends from 6:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m. Friday at the Kidwell-Garber Funeral Home in Versailles.
