Mrs. Barrett, 77, passed away Thursday, March 5, at the Calvin Manor retirement home in Des Moines where she had been a resident for four years. She was a descendant of two of the early settlers southeast of Dallas Center.
A daughter of the late Harry Milford Cadwell and Mary Ann Hooper Cadwell, Lepha was born Sept. 7, 1892, on a farm southeast of Dallas Center.
She was married to Charles O. Barrett, Feb. 4, 1914. Surviving are a daughter, Mrs. Vernon (Glenace) Lounsberry; a son, Harold, both of Dallas Center; two brothers, Charles Cadwell here, and Fred Cadwell of Corona, Calif. There are five grandchildren and three great grandchildren.
