Evelyn Anderson was born in Ellis County to the union of Roe and Helen Jackson Caine. She accepted Christ at an early age uniting with Independent B.C., Rev. J.H. Hendrix pastor and used her beautiful singing talent in the church music ministry where she was an outstanding alto, Evelyn will always be remembered for leading the song "Walk On By Faith," she was also an active member of the Usher Ministry. She was a graduate of G.W. Carver H.S. in Ennis. Evelyn was married to Eugene Anderson who proceeded her in death.
Evelyn Juanita Anderson departed this life April 3, 2000 at Baylor Hospital in Dallas, Texas.

Evelyn leaves to cherish her many memories: a sister, Frankie Mae Lockhart, brother, Robert Carter, both of Ennis, Texas; one aunt, Esteem Howard, Waxahachie, Texas; thirteen nieces and nephews; twenty-one great nieces and nephews; seven great-great nieces and nephews; brother-in-law, James "Jack" Lockhart,Sr., a stepdaughter Voncile; a faithful Pastor, Reverend L.R. Massey, all of Ennis, Texas; three devoted friends, Cecil Alexander, Dorothy Carr, and Emma Gant, all of Ennis, Texas; one loving godson Brian Chambers of Dallas, Texas; and a host of other relatives and friends.
