Evelyn Anderson was born in Ellis County to the union of Roe and Helen Jackson Caine. She accepted Christ at an early age uniting with Independent B.C., Rev. J.H. Hendrix pastor and used her beautiful singing talent in the church music ministry where she was an outstanding alto, Evelyn will always be remembered for leading the song "Walk On By Faith," she was also an active member of the Usher Ministry. She was a graduate of G.W. Carver H.S. in Ennis. Evelyn was married to Eugene Anderson who proceeded her in death.

Massey, all of Ennis, Texas; three devoted friends, Cecil Alexander, Dorothy Carr, and Emma Gant, all of Ennis, Texas; one loving godson Brian Chambers of Dallas, Texas; and a host of other relatives and friends.
